Privacy notice

Personal data are information regarding personal and factual circumstances. This document explains how Hekatron handles the personal data collected on this website and informs you regarding your rights.

Your personal data are collected, processed and used by us only if you instruct us or allow us to do so or if this is required by law.

We have set out guidelines for data protection and IT security, instruct our employees accordingly, require that our service providers observe these guidelines and carry out checks. Our IT systems meet the very latest security standards.

This data protection declaration relates only to the website of www.hekatron-brandschutz.eu

Logging

This website is managed with the help of a content management system (CMS) and is overseen by 21TORR GmbH. The system runs on a web server which is operated on our behalf by the hoster and on the group's own private cloud platform "SOP" in a high-security data centre in Switzerland.

If you open a page of this website, your browser sends data for technical reasons at the same time. These data are not logged by the CMS (logging is deactivated) but are automatically logged by the lower-level web server (server log). Specifically, these data are:

  • the requested page or resource (URI)
  • the time at which the server provided the page
  • the IP address that the page was sent to
  • the identifier that your browser sent

We use the server log only to ensure that the web server operates correctly (troubleshooting, investigating misuse). Only the hoster has access to the server log although access is not allowed without good reason. Server logs which are older than eight weeks are automatically deleted.

MyFonts Counter

In order to display our website, we also use external fonts provided by the company MyFonts Inc., 600 Unicorn Park Drive, Woburn, MA 01801, USA. These fonts are incorporated into our website as a result of the server calling them up from MyFonts. In order to send the font files to your browser, at least your IP address will be sent to a MyFonts server when you open our website. Further information regarding data protection at MyFonts is available at: https://www.myfonts.com/info/legal/#Privacy.

Google

We use the following services provided by Google Inc. (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA; "Google"):

We use  Google Analytics (GA) with the help of cookies and JavaScript. When you open our website, your browser sends usage data to a Google server in the USA. We have set up GA so that Google only stores your IP address in an abbreviated form.

Google evaluates the use of our website on our behalf but ensures that your IP address is not combined with other Google data. We use these evaluations to optimize the website and as a basis for placing advertisements.

This website uses the Google Tag Manager. Thanks to this service, website tags can be managed via an interface. The Google Tool Manager only implements tags. This means that no cookies are used and no personal data are collected. The Google Tag Manager triggers other tags which in turn may collect data. However, the Google Tag Manager does not access these data. If deactivation took place or a domain or cookie level, this will continue to apply to all tracking tags if these are implemented with the Google Tag Manager.

Google Analytics (web analysis service) and Google DoubleClick Cookies are used to evaluate use of this website. In order to do this, reports about your website activities are compiled, thus allowing us to gear our website to your needs.
The data collected are used only for statistical purposes and in anonymised form. With Google Analytics, this is achieved by abbreviating the IP address. Under no circumstances will Google link your abbreviated IP address to other data held by Google. DoubleClick cookies contain no personal data. Occasionally, the cookie contains an additional anonymised identifier in order to identify an advertising campaign with which a user previously came into contact. As a result, information regarding a specific person's web use cannot be traced back to that person.

On this website, Google Audiences, a web analysis service provided by Google Inc., collects and stores data which are used to create usage profiles with the help of pseudonyms. To make this possible, a cookie is placed on your computer to analyse user behaviour when the website is visited. No personal data are stored or processed when this cookie is placed on your computer.

In order to ensure adequate data security when sending forms, we use the Google reCAPTCHA service in certain cases. This primarily serves to distinguish whether a natural person is entering information or information is being entered automatically in an improper manner by machines. When the service is used, the IP address and, possibly, other data which Google requires for the reCAPTCHA service will be sent to Google.

You can prevent Google collecting and processing data: Either by blocking cookies and/or JavaScript or with the help of a browser plug-in provided by Google: www.tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout

Other cookies, other technologies, no profiling

With the exception of the wish list feature, you can use all the functions on our website without cookies. We use session cookies for the wish list. However, no data are stored on your device. When you close your browser, any stored entries will be lost.

Other than this, we use no cookies. We use none of the following technologies: browser fingerprinting, targeting, retargeting, HTML5 local storage.

All of the data described in the sections above are designated as usage information. We do not link this usage information to the data that you provide when you fill in boxes in a form.

Entries in form boxes

You do not need to disclose personal data in order to use our website. However, we offer various forms which you can use to send us enquiries or place orders.

How Hekatron processes the data you have entered and whether Hekatron enters your data in its customer management systems depends on your particular query or request. If for example you request a quotation, we will record you as a potential customer. If you only asked us to send you a brochure, we will only store the e-mail which the form sends to us.

We reserve the right to use and store the data that you entered for other purposes if these data need to be archived (business correspondence), we are legally required to do so or we are instructed to do so by the authorities or the courts.

Your rights

You have the right to request at any time information regarding the personal data that we have stored. This information is available free of charge and can include details of the origin of the data, the recipients to which the data are passed on and the reason why the data were stored. You can also request that your personal data be corrected, deleted or blocked.

If you have given us your consent to use your data, you can revoke this consent at any time. This will result in your data being deleted unless there are legal reasons for not doing so. In this case, we will block your data so that they can only be used for the necessary legal purposes.

We would be happy to tell you what information about you we store. In order to prevent misuse, we will only reply to requests for information in writing and will require proof of identity. Our Data Protection Officer would be happy to explain what forms of proof of identity we accept.

If any of the information we have stored about you is incorrect, we will correct it. Tell us what information is incorrect using our contact form and we will confirm that the information has been corrected as soon as possible.
